Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using OM Events ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

OM Events is a platform that connects event organisers, sellers, and buyers for open market events, car boot sales, and similar gatherings. The App facilitates event discovery, ticket purchasing, stall booking, and event management.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

4. User Roles

Users may register as a Buyer, Seller, or Organiser. Each role has specific responsibilities:

• Buyers: May browse events, purchase tickets, and attend events.
• Sellers: May apply for stalls at events and sell goods.
• Organisers: May create and manage events, set pricing, and manage participants. Organiser accounts require admin approval.

5. Payments & Refunds

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Prices are displayed in GBP (£). Refund policies are set by individual event organisers and must comply with applicable consumer protection laws. OM Events is not responsible for refund disputes between buyers and organisers.

6. Organiser Responsibilities

Organisers are responsible for the accuracy of event information, compliance with local laws and regulations, managing stall allocations and participant communications, and honouring advertised terms for their events.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Provide false or misleading information
• Interfere with the App's operation or security
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and technology within the App are owned by OM Events or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

OM Events provides the platform on an "as is" basis. We are not liable for any losses arising from event cancellations, disputes between users, payment processing issues handled by third parties, or inaccurate event information provided by organisers.

10. Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or are reported for misconduct. You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account, or by contacting support if you cannot access the app. Past tickets and reviews are anonymised on deletion so organisers retain their records, but your name, email, and personal data are permanently removed. Active subscriptions are cancelled in Stripe at the same time.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
